Read MoreFlorida has issued the severance tax rates for the production of gas and sulfur effective July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.
During that time period:
production of gas is taxed at the rate of $0.20 per MCF; and
sulfur production is taxed at the rate of $6.72 per ton.
The tax rates are adjusted on July 1 of each year. The adjusted rates must be used when completing the Declaration of Estimated Gas and Sulfur Production Tax (Form DR-144ES) beginning with the July 2024 estimated payment.
